>>1045546>So you'd only use boots in very cold/snowy conditions?pretty much. a couple miles of the trail i was on a week ago was flooded with 2-4" of runoff, so boots were nice for that, too. but even if i'm expecting incidental water/stream crossings i'll go with my trail runners because they dry out quickly and are generally much cooler.
