First thing is always be on the lookout for poorfags, they infest threads like this and think riding their old ten speed down the multi use path is mountain biking. Grab an Unno DH bike and buy a nice truck to transport it with, head out to Virgin UT to ride Flying Monkey and King Kong. There is no real mountain biking on the East Coast (protip: mountain biking requires mountains, not 3k foot hills).
