Here's a great example of a problem and a solution. I'm basically incapable of using a standard lighter. My thumbs can't do it, because I can't apply enough force; it's too hard to keep my bones where I need them and my flesh from sliding the wrong way. (As weird and gross as I'm sure that sounds). So, I tend to use a barbecue lighter - and I'd just use something smaller but similar if I was outside.
