>>957249Ikr. First problem is I need to fish in lakes that actually have butterfly bowfin.
My best one I never got a pic of. I landed it, took the hook out, was lipping it while I went for the camera, and it shook loose out of my hand and went right into the water before I could snap a pic. It was probably 17"-18", the pair or nice adults was swimming around with like 500 fry in the shallows and I got a reaction strike on a little 1/8oz underspin. That thing was a good fight, but peacocks always fight bretty gud.
I really do need to get to somewhere with nice peacocks. Lately I just haven't had a ton of time (or motivation) and end up at my dink lake down the street. That place has been better the past month or two with the cooler water and 16"+ LMB biting more often.
>>957241X-Raps a GOAT. Too bad that one doesn't have more of a gut or it would be real fatty.
Wut time and where? I always hear online that peacocks don't bite like largemouth at sunrise and sunset but I seem to get them a little before the dusk bass start going.
>>957211>guaranteed repiles>>957230Yeah but you gotta buy the right stuff from either brand. I still really like that Okuma Stratus V that Dick's always had on sale for $30-$40. Smoother than any of the cheaper Abus or Shimanos. But I guess time will tell on that one.
