Anyway, it goes without saying that I'd need to buy some land. 2.5 acres would seem to be the minimum requirement. However, I've read that the vast majority of countries require annual payment of property taxes. I'm wondering - would I still have to pay if the land I bought had no property i.e. was just woodland? If that was the case then I'd probably run out of money in a couple of years.
