It's just gear. The down jacket ripped and leaked feathers eventually. The backpack got that catpiss PU-coating smell eventually. The fleece is just fleece, it pilled and the elbow blew out eventually.
Their warranty is just ok, most stuff is covered for a year or two but almost all of it has a "fuck you, pay me" clause, as follows:

In short, buy whatever you want, I think much of what they sell is exactly on par with many other producers. My guess is only people who would think differently of you for using one brand gear over another probably dont have the experience to justify their options.
