I'm just looking into getting into compound bows, but need advice.
I recently went to an archery practice club thingo and they let me use an 18lb recurve which was easy. Then they said try the 40lb longbow and the 60lb longbow.
The 40lb I struggled and the 60lb was so hard because it was my first time using a bow, my aim was terrible.
I am quite muscular and tall but i do know that specific muscles in my arm related to archery have not been strengthened yet.
My questions are:
Is a compound bow easier to draw back than a recurve, how much easier if so?
Would you recommend me starting off at a 40lb compound bow for my first time or could someone recommend me a weight to start of with?
Im looking into compound bows only. Thanks in advanced.
