Quite familiar with wild onion/garlic allium canadense as well. It grows wild here all over the place and I have been doing a cultivation project of growing them bigger and bigger in my garden. Pic related, the stalks in the back are conventional garlic, the ones in the front are allium canadense and almost as big now.
