For that I do shittypicrelated. It works without having to buy the wired weedless or angled weedless jigs. Cut a very small sliver up the side of the grub starting just above the tail and nearly to the top. You can slip the sliver over the tip of the hook and it'll prevent snags or hooking into lumber if you just gently jig it along.
