But, I do have a few questions.
I heard root rot is an oxygen problem, and the air pump im using is for a 40 gallon tank. Is that enough, or are there other concerns about being half submerged for jerry?
I also added some lavarock that I stole from some guys yard so that the ammonia eating bacteria have something to stick to. Will that be enough, or do I need some sort of seperate apparatus?
After I "cycle" the tank and get the bacterial cultures going, will jerry provide enough filtration or do I need to get him a friend to avoid nuking the fish?
Also, would it be OK to cross post this to the growing and botany thread?
