>>1191807>>1191830Thanks a bunch. I’m gonna bring my 8wt too but I want to catch dinner a few times and I think I’ll have more luck with shrimp on a pompano rig. Plus it’ll be easier to chill out and booze with the conventional gear.
We’re staying near Cape San Blas/Indian Pass if either of you have fished the area and can offer advice as far as strategy and fly patterns go. I’m just gonna tie up some easy shrimp in sandy and olive colors and wade the beach on the gulf side and probably the bay side too.
I’ll probably buy pic related in the 4000 size and a medium-heavy 7 or 8 foot rod.
