Anon, half the amerisharts and gearqueers outside have brand new gear. When I go hiking, it’s 50/50 people with huge backpacks full of junk and people with just a little fanny pack or daypack or nothing at all. Go somewhere outside your neighborhood where you won’t bump into anyone you know :)
