>>119525Fuck the shitstorm you are right. I have that and the attached image in my pack even though i have the regular non pocket sized ones on my shelf, because they are damn good. Two cigerette packet sized books that are worth carrying. Hardly any extra weight or size.
Somebody will probably say, just take an ipod or something with .pdfs but i have nothing in my pack that runs on its own batteries that isnt imo essential.
I use a solar charger for my gps and uhf/vhf radio. I know.... i know..... an ipod weighs fuckall..... but i'll want a battery pack and charging cables and shit to keep it working without access to charging for weeks, its just not with the extra fucking around for shit that can break.
I like durable shit, my gps and radio are both somewhat water resistant and i dont have to worry about knocking them and breaking them.
