I tried to get this cutting to root twice, and failed both times. I figured it was too old to take and decided to let it break down a bit and then shred and compost it. Today, when I went to check on it, I noticed two tufts of fur and underneath, two pups!
I'd love to get these to grow, but I have absolutely no idea how to help them succeed. Should I bury the whole cactus up to the pups? Should I try and root it on cut a third time? Should I make a new cut?
Sorry for the truely shitty photo, but it's just what I described, pups coming off a cutting.
