>>789850>>789865I use chickweed as a living mulch for tall plants. It does well for noxious weed suppression and slug/snail entrapment. I also eat it when it is young and grow it inside in winter for fresh greens.
Here's my asparagus bed loaded with chickweed this spring. It is going to seed now and I'll be ripping it up and threshing the seed out to use over winter and next year. At the end of winter, this is the first thing to pop up so it is great for weed suppression early on.
