It's mostly road and flat, and while it might not seem like much to you, 50 km in one day is a real challenge to me. Last year I had my pair of Meindl boots, which are ok since they aren't too heavy (not waterproof), but I still wonder if I would be better off with low shoes. Is the ankle support really a meme? I will probably never injure myself on this kind of hike too.
