An experiment to see if I can keep algae from building up in the water fountain / bird bath. There are two bowls fed from the pump that self drain when it is off, then 3 bowls that stay full of water all the time and get slimey.
I lined one bowl with copper tape to try preventing the algae from growing. It should lose its shine quickly getting a bronze color. So far the adhesive does appear to be water proof. If I do the larger bowls I'll need to order wider tape.
