Solo backpacking in Glacier and Yellowstone National park actually not advised at the permit offices although they will never deny a permit because of it. Grizzly Bear attacks happen more often with 1 or 2 people, there is not a single recorded instances where a grizzly bear attacked 4 or more people while hiking in a group and it's partly because the amount of noise being made by a larger group.
When solo I use a two person tent because I've heard stories about bears biting tents. I set up my tent at least 100 yards from wherever I eat and I have a separate set of clothes which I do not wear while eating. The only things that ever go in my tent with me are a sleeping bag pad/pillow, a flashlight and my pistol. I also leave the bear spray outside because it seems like a bad idea to discharge that in close quarters.
I wish this was a LARP but I've encountered enough dense grizzly bear habitat and have heard enough shit walk through my camp at night that it's just standard protocol. I can't tell you how many nights I've gone to sleep with my pistol in hand. I carry both, I advise you at least carry two canisters if you go solo. Maybe consider a good air horn.
Pic related is a great book on the subject. While I am very cautious, I still think grizzlies are the coolest animal to encounter in the wild.
