>>800890glad to help. if you have a hacksaw (or equivalent), take of the hooks from one end and cut the other end of the tiedown at a 45 degree angle. then you can thread the 45 end through the loop the hook used to be in and "noose" it around a tree. quick + easy, and makes for less knots you have to deal with when packing up.
