Mayhem 45L has worked well for me in everything 40F and above for weekend hikes.
A big sleeping bag would wreck the volume. My 65L mountainsmith is better for cold weekends but the 45L can do almost anything for 2-3 days. Both are fairly lightweight

45L. Works well. Could have used a few more liters volume in the cold winter. Very light weight and works for most trips.
