The summit of K2 hasn't changed one bit, only Everest has any issues, and basically nothing lives on mountains of that height. Deep ocean exploration harms nothing. Exploring rainforest only brings more attention to preserving it. If I were to find some new species of salamander in some high altitude pond it would add to the reasons to preserve the area.
