but the expectation is unrealistic, there's no such thing as a feasible all season sleep system. barking up a tree that doesn't exist.
as pictured anon's sleep setup would be really comfy in the summer, and adequate during the fall if there's not much wind.
its basically a poncho and a tent quarter. the idea is that on its own it can serve as rain gear and also an emergency shelter for a single manlet on its own. or several troops could combine theirs together like a transformers and make one big ass tent from them. its a really cool idea but it tends to leak from the point at the top. picrel is a modern take on it that addresses the issue.
