Spent a few hours today refreshing the soil for this year in my containers, adding in some new soil, some slow release fertilizer and some vermicompost.
While at it, I also chose to remove the SIPs I built after 3 years of use to see how they did.
Interestingly the SIPs all held up amazingly, none of the reservoirs were plugged with roots or filled with soil except one where I had used old insect mesh and it had ripped. All the others were in pristine condition.
Picrel is the soil from 2 SIPs, I did a total of 9 today plus two box planters.
