Any suggestions for getting a split ring around a spoon eyelet without it getting bent out of shape? I picked up an old Krocodile at a yard sale and I wanna replace the rusted trebel with either a dressed new one or a dressed siwash. Obviously the welded ring doesn't really allow for changing unless I have a way to weld it shut and that's currently beyond my means.
