the Compact is a really good one as it's - well, compact - and has some really nice tools like a can opener (as you mentioned above), hook (gets my boots REAL tight), scissors (everything from snipping dangling threads to a bit of self grooming - finger/toe nails, mustache, etc), toothpick/tweezers (every SAK has this but they're really nice to have on me), and file. The only useless tools for /out/ are the corkscrew (but I still find ways to get use out of it, like fixing fucked up knots) and the pen (which I have relied on for those fill out the form and pay ahead of time for parking things at the pemi loop)
I've thought about getting a swisschamp and just keeping it in my bag, but part of the reason I bring a folding knife is the security that it stays in my pocket 100% of the time, so if I get separated from my bag for whatever reason I still have a knife.
