>>2795770Idk what you call a gum tree exactly but I sort of like gum trees. Like Sweet Gum for example. People consider it a trash tree because it is so common and it drops those balls but the truth is, they are healthy, fast growing, leaf out early, drop late, make pretty fall and winter colors, and will grow to huge sizes, etc.
I also like Black Gum alot. Especially on dry land. beautiful fall color, long 90 degree branches, it holds Spanish Moss, they will grow large, one of the longest lived hardwoods too. Here is a pic of a big giant wetland black gum.
