https://boards.4chan.org/diy/thread/1427294; I'm not the OP but also am trying to grow garlic, specifically in central Arizona. I was sure to give it plenty of shade, water, and drainage, and everything was going well for a few months, but the growths were curling and growing "inside" each other (in the creases) - but not nearly as much as pic related, and I never got the bulge at the end. Then one day, all 6 of the plants just up and died at the same time (shoots detached from the bulbs/underground portion). Any idea what could have happened?
