If serious, then no. That is still not good enough. If there is no trail on this route, then that's not even anywhere close to being good enough. A topographic map has lines on it to indicate the exact slope of the landscape. If there is no trail, then you need a topo map. Stop making dumb excuses and just get a fucking map.
