The beauty of nature is that it will always provide for you if you respect it. That includes, not taking game when you don't need it. Every single life you take in nature is a sacrifice.
Outside of Idealism, fishing is a skill you can develop and improve at indefinitely. If you ate everything you caught, you wouldn't be a skilled fisherman nor would you have favorite fishing holes anymore.
This brings us right back to the 3rd world mindset. All they know how to do is destroy and exploit nature. Once they fuck up where they live, they move elsewhere to repeat the process.
I'd take a 50 million Brown Trout over 50 million brown people in my country any day.
