Unfortunately, despite the lovely landscapes, many of the views in Virginia included interstates. In this shot, the interstate is just behind the fence in the back.
Another interesting tidbit. The town we stayed in the night before this picture was taken apparently had a big drug problem. I asked the cashier at the general store if there was any place in town we could set up camp, and he told me that there was, but that we probably wouldn't want to on account of all of the meth addicts.
We camped there anyway, and didn't have any problems, but I was wary of everyone. Also, someone called the cops when they saw our tents set up in the Rotary club's yard. The sheriff woke us up at 10:30 or so to make sure we had permission to camp there.
