I would ballpark that 75% of the thru-hikers I met and heard about smoked tobacco.
Just so happens that the community is small because only about 1000-2000 people complete a thru hike in a given year, and the community is tight knit, and everyone knows one-another. But of course what would I know, seeing as all I did was fucking hike with these people for over half a year while you sat on your computer talking shit you know nothing about on the internet.
