So I played around with my ambsx5600 with the weight in the pic. I'm starting to figure it out I think. I managed a 130 foot cast (measured by cranks after I got the slack out) now I just need a good rod to put this on and what to use it for. I'm thinking something 7-8 foot, two pieces, 3 or 4 preferred, able to handle 2 oz of weight for cats, pike/muskie and saltwater, but under 1/2 ounce for calm water bucktails, smaller swim baits, gotcha plugs on the pier, etc
I'm actually thinking about a salmon rod (Fenwick silverhawk) or an uglystik eliete salmon/steelhead)
