>>2007747There's a metric fuckton of info on the subject, but if you have an above ground water cistern do your best to keep the water that's going into it out of direct sunlight, mulch your plants with ramial wood chips as best you can, and generally just try and make your property work in a way that even the water you aren't catching off your roof is being slowed down, spread out, and sunk into your soil rather than speeding off in some channelized flow that takes your soil with it.
