>most memorable moment while outI'll greentext this one, this is in the park I mentioned above
>hiking my first weeklong trip>nonstop rain from the moment we parked the cars, day and night>by day 3 I have the worst chafing I've ever had (and probably ever will have)>not even talcum powder helps, thighs on fire 24/7>since this is in virginia in the summer, in the valley were hiking through it feels like a fucking rainforest>[CANT WAKE UP].jpg>start climbing out of the valley>all of a sudden all the trees are gone, I look around and all I see are highland fields, it's gray and raining, but more of a misting rain as opposed to a downpour>the wind is blowing the grasses in the classic wave-like form, you can watch the bands of wind sweep across the plains>craggy rocks burst from the ground at sporadic places, great daggers of granite pouring from the earth>all my pain vanishes, I walk along in awe for 2 or 3 more hours>literally cry at the beauty and majesty of nature>still my favorite trip I've ever had, even though it rained every single dayPic related is the Grayson Highlands
