tfw I have a real hard time in how to compromise either my academic interests (ee wanting to go into research in the future) and not living in the city or at least 50km from a big one.
It seems that I have to min/max between a place where there's a decent university (top 100 if possible) and a place where I could grow crops and do that kind of work during slow weeks or something.

>>1215861 and I do agree with him, however I'd like to make use of my knowledge in EE and whatever else I learn in uni, perhaps some mech stuff, to make my homesteading life less hard.
I know it sounds dumb but I think there's place for a mix of high tech stuff (kinda) and agriculture.
What do you think lads?
