This is my normal backpacking stuff, minus food (Bearvault when needed). Mostly REI "used" heavily discounted stuff which is a solid deal. Best things REI for price are sleeping bags and tents - the small accessories like mess kits, bottles, etc are all very overpriced. Recommend snapping phone pics of those then finding Amazon alternatives.
That being said the gf prefers 'quality' brands like the Black Diamond poles - these could've easily been cheapos I think. Glad we got good sleeping bags, pads, tent, jet stove, etc though.
Can answers questions about quality/experience. We've done Yosemite, Yellowstone, Crater Lake, North Cascades, Olympic, Badlands, Colorado Rockies and a bunch more with this stuff.
