>>1048873>>1048980>>1048882New-Intex anon here. 'Real' anchors are pretty cheap and probably gonna work better. Read somewhere that anchors generally work by size, not by weight. I bought pic related (1.5kg version) for ~9USD for fishing the fjord and local canal (saltwater with somewhat strong tidal current). Should be enough given it's shape and size. We'll see when I get it out on the water again.
As for position of the anchor look into something called an anchor trolley. Will post pics in a moment.

Can only think of one out of five local shops here in my city being somewhat elitist and even there the most I've gotten was a cheeky 'why not fly fishing?'. Everywhere they are up for a nice casual chat about fishing no matter what you throw into the water.
