>>1747754Agree massively with this. I personally would steer clear of any semi auto's as I want my rifle as light as possible so it can be in my hands (not on my shoulder on a sling) for as larger percentage of the day as possible. I also generally hunt denser vegetation rather than open country.
I use a shitty remington 700 in .308. I would recommend a tikka .308 as a great starting point.
