I'm on my second Liteflex, forgot my first one in the rain. I use it to put something over my head while bivy camping and of course in the rain with a poncho. Not having to use the hood of a poncho makes it a very comfy proposition, airy and protective. If there is wind i just use some string around my waist.
I think an umbrella, a poncho and rain chaps are best during German and Swiss fall as well as autumn. In the winter i use a Goretex hardshell.
