I'm in Florida and at least half the shit I target requires a spinner (weightless senkos for bass, pitching creek chubs for inshore fish, 8000 on my surf rod etc.) I love my bait casters for throwing bass jigs, for heavy lures up north for pike/muskie, and round reels for cats but that's about it. My heavy/fast 7ft talavera and 3500 spinfisher VI is the most versatile combo I have. My 7'3 medium heavy baitcaster, not so much.
>>2744935This is exactly how I feel. Every baitcaster I've bought has been left hand retrieve. The only right handed ones I have are vintage ones my uncle passed down to me, like the abu Garcia 4600CB I keep in my truck with a 2 piece 7'6 to fish on my lunch break
