Interestingly the Sherpa people didn't traditionally use surnames and when census taking started in their region a lot of them just filled the second space in with Sherpa, which is why many Sherpa now have the surname Sherpa. It's also pretty common for them to be named after the day of the week they were born. which is why a lot of them have the same name.
