It's easier to walk up then most people think, but the weather can close in stupidly fast so you need to be careful. Wind chill is your enemy here.
I hiked it back in January this year so there was ice, snow and really fucking cold winds to deal with, but at long as you layer up and have a decent outer shell you should be fine.
I think it took me around 3 hours to get up and back down, including lunch. There's a car park at the bottom of a trail.
