I use my shtf rifle for hunting since that's what I'd use for survival. Easy to handle and lug around. Lotta people say 5.56 is to light a round. But those same people can't aim worth a shit. Got pic rel last season. Bit small but he was good eatin. 5.56 is also perfect for the ranges you'll see a deer here in the Ozarks. Not to mention how great it goes through brush.
