For trek selection my best advice would be to focus on the program that is unique or that people interested in over sheer mileage. South country treks tend to be shorter, but have more program and are in a wetter more mountainous area (Baldy area is the same). North (except for Baldy) and East-Central are more oldwesty-canyony and dry, but tend to have longer treks. Valle Vidal is flat, beautiful and big and tends to have the longest treks
