I do that.
I bought mine for $300 from costco. Works fine for me. I attached an anchor made out of 50 feet of paracord and a 5 pound barbell weight which works in winds up to around 7-10 mph depending on how smooth the bottom is.
It has bungee cords in the back for holding my ice box.
It doesn't have a rod holder. If you are fishing for big fish you would need to be holding the rod all the time. For small fish I just lay the rod down between my legs and rest it on a little nook that holds it in place.
It was advertised as having two rod holders but they are shitty and don't actually work. They are only half-inch circular dents in the back. Any slight push makes your rod fall out.
I was thinking about just cutting a hole in the top and making my own out of pvc pipe and silicone sealer or just screwing pipe onto the side of the boat.
Protip: Always have rope on your boat-- no mater how small.
