There was a project involving a small underwater house called the Scott Carpenter Space Analog Station in Florida. My dad was a friend of the project director who had invited a long list of people he knew to come spend 24 hours each living there.
I was maybe 12 so I didn't appreciate how unusual an experience it was. It left me with these fond Summer memories of something fantastical that seemed like a dream in retrospect.
