Way to be efficient.
Modern switching power supplies like those found in your computer and phone's charger can take a huge range of input voltages. Feed it anything on the "input voltage" listed, you'll get the output voltage out. They really don't give a fuck what the input voltage looks like.
If the output voltage is DC, use a DC-DC adapter off your battery. Much more efficient than going to AC and back.
