>>1686376>I don't trust plastic either.FYI, unless the fabric pots specifically say they are made from natural fibers then they will be made from plastic fibers instead. Vivosun fabric pots as well as the many other rebranded fabric pots from the same manufacturer are all made from polyester/polypropylene fabric. Being made from polester is why they last for up to a decade, even in the sun, since polyester is UV resistant. The cheaper ones that are made from polypropylene(usually from recycled bottles) and don't last very long at all unless they have UV protection. People are like, "it is fabric, not plastic" or "it is felt, not plastic" are all incorrect on both accounts since polyester and polypropylene both come in cloth and felt forms. People don't realize just how many products there are that is plastic simply because it doesn't look of feel like a solid pot or plastic bottle they are used to seeing. I've seen many people go "plastic free" yet wear almost nothing but plastic clothing because it doesn't look or feel like what they think plastic should look or feel like. I've had people get angry at me when I point that out, until they check the tags then check online for what those words mean. lol
Natural fiber pots will last about half the time of the plastic fiber pots. Natural fiber pots also cost 3-10 times more than the plastic fiber pots. Like you can get five 3-gallon sized plastic fiber grow bags for $12, but jute grow bags are $13 for only one 2.5 gallon sized.
Basically, due to the, "it is natural!!!," trend, no company will pass up the opportunity to label their product "all natural" if it is made from all natural materials. Because, then they can price gouge.
