Buy 99 cent dehydrated mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, nice ramen, oatmeal and so on. Empty each serving into its own ziplock bag, press the air out and seal.
You now have something which turns into what resembles food with the addition of boiling water. I assume you have a canister stove w/pot.

tl;dr the only food you should be carrying is dehydrated, there's ways to pack it down so it takes up the minimum possible space, and whatever you can use from your environment is something you don't need to carry.
