A couple threads ago, I was asking about information on this fly tying kit that was gifted to me. I wasn't able to get any additional help here, but still wanted to share with anyone curious. The kit just calls the pattern an all purpose nymph. I couldn't find anything close to the pattern with that name. So I just thought to search by the materials(peacock hearl, partridge feather, green chenille and a #14 dry fly hook. That led me to the peacock and partridge pattern. It looks like this is a similar pattern, but with a chenille body and peacock hurl thorax as opposed to the whole body being peacock. The partridge feather collar is the same and keyed me into part of my problem figuring out what it was supposed to look like finished. I was also trying to tie it in by the base not the tip of the feather. They weren't clear about it in the little book that came with it. But I got it figured out. I tied one with one of the provided partridge feathers, which was twice the size needed for the hook provided.
